At age 42, former child actor Gary Coleman has died after being taken to hospital earlier this week with a head injury.  He suffered from a massive brain hemorrhage.( May 26 2010)

Gary Coleman was best remembered for playing  Arnold Jackson on the NBC sitcom Diff’rent Strokes from 1978 to 1986. With his  impeccable comic timing, the actor proved an instant audience favourite.

He also made cameo appearances in character for other shows, including The Facts of Life and Silver Spoons, and even had an eponymous Saturday morning cartoon show.

The Illinois-born actor suffered from a congenital kidney ailment that halted his growth at an early age and resulted in his diminutive stature. He underwent two kidney transplants during his lifetime and also required dialysis.

The Man of Steel may return for a  ninth season of CW’s superhero drama.

The reports of Smallville’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. The Popular belief had the long-running Superman drama flying off into the sunset at the end of season eight,  but now it seems there’s a cry to move forward.
An inside source who says that main star Tom Welling is in discussions to renew his contract for a ninth season, and both sides are so close to striking a mega deal, that will make Tom Welling rich.
Tom is the key to keeping Smallville on the air, and  CW is apparently willing to add some pretty nice zeroes to his salary to keep him. When Allison Mack pondered leaving, producers resigned her for what is rumored to be some serious dooh.
With season nice hovering in the shadows, there promise of more Justice League of America action and a recent jump in quality has loyalists excited for the future of the show.
