Ebay has just gotten to elitist. The execs. at Ebay just think that they are so much better than us little pion ain’t got noth’in snivil’in sellers. All the Ebay execs. want to do is get rid of us “Waste of their time” sellers and they jacked up the fees just enough to rid the site of us little pest sellers.
I was doing alright on Ebay and would have only had to pay an extra $30.00 a month but they made it so that your DSR’s had to be almost perfect and my DSR’s were 4.9 except for 1 DSR that was 4.7. With the 4.7 DSR I wouldn’t be able to get into their new premium listing category and would have had to list in their basic category. The basic category is a screw you category with .20 listing fees versus the premium which is .03. The basic monthly store fee is the same at about $16.00 but has the .20 listing fees now. The premium category is $49.95 with the .03 listing fees. If you can’t get into the premium you are a screwed little seller. The .20 basic store listing fee forces sellers with low DSR’s to just list in their basic auction format and not even mess with a store category.
Either way you look at Ebays new fee schedule you are screwed as a seller and will pay alot more. Only the popular high volume sellers can afford it.
The last Ebay fee hike sent Ioffer.com ’s listing soaring along with a higher traffic level. I haven’t seen Ioffers traffic level do to much yet but Ioffers traffic did spike to a higher level than its ever been, and then the traffic level went back down. After March 30th when all the new Ebay fees kick in is when I’m expecting traffic levels on other selling sites to start a slow rise just because “Thousands of Ebay stores shut down and Ebay no longer has the variety” people are looking for. Ebay will still have a selection but I already did searches and the variety and selection they had a couple of months ago is “GONE”.
Screw Ebay!

Check out Mainstreetfair.com online auctions and classified ads website. They offer the same benefits and features as eBay, but charge lower fees and classified items listed under $200 are free to list. From now until January 1, 2011, you can open a storefront for FREE and they don’t penalize sellers for low performance.
Im sick of ebay too! I had a store on there but had to switch because there prices were crap. I use sellbits.com now. They are way better! No ridiculous fees or anything. I opened a store on there and have been doing really well ever since. Best thing about it is they help market my store for me so I don’t have too. No other company i know of does that!
It is too bad that ebay is like that to sellers, I for one am not a seller. I go there to ebay to buy. On a Buyers prosective. Ebay is the best to get great deals on great items for buyers.
