Kelly Clarkson Star Power Dimming?

Since winning American Idol in 2002, Kelly Clarkson has become one of the biggest stars of the decade.

She made headlines over the summer for butting heads with her label and, in a fairly surprising move, firing her long time manager Jeff Kwatinetz. Then her summer tour was shelved due to disappointing ticket sales.

 Does this mean Clarkson’s star power is dimming? Not according to Pollstar editor Gary Bongiovanno who was quoted in the Los Angeles Times as saying “Only to the extent that there might have been an unrealistic expectation of that star power.”

Clarkson has sold more than 15 million records worldwide.
